Chaleur Ventus Overview
The Chaleur Ventus Wind Farm will be located in the northern part of the province in Anse-Bleue. Development work began on this project in 2017, and environmental fieldwork has been ongoing since the spring of 2017.
Naveco Power Inc. secured a 30 year Power Purchase Agreement under NB Power's Locally Owned Renewable Energy Small-Scale program (LORESS.) Naveco Power is the only New Brunswick developer who won a project.
100 New Jobs Benefiting The Environment
100 jobs will be created during the construction phase of the project. An additional ten direct and indirect jobs will be created to maintain the turbines over the next 30 years.
Powering 9,000 Homes
20 MW of wind energy is enough to power almost 9,000 homes.
Equivalent To Removing 10,522 Cars Off The Road
The wind farm's annual energy production is equivalent to removing 10,522 passenger vehicles off the road.
